1. Korean names typically consist of three Korean letters.

   Unlike English names, the family name comes first and then the given name.

   한국 이름은 보통 한국어 3글자로 구성된다.

   영어 이름과 다르게 성이 먼저 오고 이름이 뒤에 온다.

2. The last name is almost always one syllable, such as in Kim, Lee, Park, Choi, Jung, Kang, etc.

   성은 김, 이, 박, 최, 정, 강, 기타 등등처럼 대부분 한음절이다.

3. On the other hand, the first name is usually two syllables. 

   For example, if a person's full name is Lee, Hyunsuk, Lee is the surname, and Hyunsuk is the given name.

   Each letter in most Korean names is based on a Chinese character, which has a meaning.

   반면에 이름은 보통 2음절이다.

   예로 어떤 사람의 이름이 이현석이라면 이는 성이고 현석은 이름이다.

   대부분의 한국 이름의 각 단어는 각 의미를 가지는 한자어를 기반으로 한다.

4. Same names can have different meanings depending on the Chinese characters that are used

   같은 이름들이 한자어를 사용하는 것에 따라 다른 의미를 가질 수도 있다.

5. Of course, there are people with genuine Korean names that are not base on Chinese characters.

   물론 한자어에 기반을 두지 않는 순수 한국어 이름을 가진 사람들도 있다.
