Lesson 041. 감기(Cold)

 

- Brainstorming

catch a cold / catch the flu,

come down with something,

cough / sneeze,

sore throat,

high fever,

ache all over,

stay in bed,

 

- Key Pattern 1 : catch a cold / catch the flu

1. I don't want to catch a cold. 난 감기 걸리기 싫어.

2. I think I caught the flu. 내 생각에 난 독감 걸린거 같아.

 

- Key Pattern 2 : lose one's voice

1. I lost my voice due to my sore throat. 나는 목이 쓰려서 목소리가 안 나온다.

2. You may lose your voice if you shout too much.

   너무 많이 소리 지르면 목소리가 안 나온다.

 

- Key Pattern 3 : ache all over

1. I'm aching all over because I went snowboarding.

   나는 스노우보드 타러 갔다와서 온몸이 쑤시다.

2. My body is aching all over today. 오늘 온몸이 쑤시다.

 

- Key Pattern 4 : stay in bed

1. I need to stay in bed because I have a cold. 나는 감기 걸려서 집에서 쉬어야 할거 같다.

2. I had to stay in bed all day. 나는 하루 종일 누워 있어야만 했다.

1. I don't catch a cold that often, but when I do it's really bad.

   The last cold I had was terrible. I had a sore throat and I coughed all day.

   나는 감기에 자주 걸리지 않지만 걸리면 정말 심하다.

   지난번 감기에는 심각했다. 나는 목이 쓰리고 하루 종일 기침을 했었다.

2. I even lost my voice. My nose was runny. I also had a fever and my head was stuffy.

   My body ached all over.

   나는 목소리도 안 나왔다. 콧물이 계속 흘렀다. 나는 또한 열이 나고 머리는 띵했다.

   온 몸이 쑤셨다.

3. I went to the doctor to get some medicine. I had to stay in bed all day.

   It took me over two weeks to fully recover.

   It was one of the worst colds I ever had.

   나는 병원에 가서 약을 약간 받았다. 나는 하루 종일 집에서 쉬었다.

   완전히 회복하는데 2주가 넘게 걸렸었다.

   내가 걸려 본 감기 중에 최악이었다.
