Have you seen the movie "Avatar"? Yes, I've seen it.

1. "아바타"는 제가 지금까지 가장 좋아하는 영화 중에 하나예요. "Avatar" is one of my favorite movies of all time.

2. 저는 그걸 대형 스크린에서 3D로 보았는데 정말 장관이었어요. I saw it in 3D on a huge screen and it was really amazing to watch.

3. 줄거리도 훌륭했고, 또 이야기가 저를 진짜 몰입하게 만들었죠. It had a good plot and the story got me really involved.

4. 연기도 정말 좋았던 것 같아요. I thought (that) the acting was really good too.

2. 만약 제가 화가 나 있으면, 그땐 메탈리카의 "마스터 오브 퍼핏트" 와 같은 약간 헤비한 게 가장 좋을거예요.

 If I'm angry, then something a bit heavier, like "Master of Puppets" by Metallica would be ideal.

3. 우울할 땐 라디오헤드의 "스트리트 스피릿"을 들을 거예요. When I'm feeling blue, I might listen to "Street Spirit" by Radiohead.

4. 하지만 언제나 제가 가장 좋아하는 노래는 존 레논의 "이메진"이라고 말해야 할 것 같아요.

 But I would have to say (that) my favorite song of all time is "Imagine" by John Lennon.

2. 한국인들은 거의 매 끼니마다 김치를 식탁에 올려요. Koreans serve Kimchi at almost every meal.

3. 김치는 양념으로 버무린 배추와 그 밖의 야채들을 발효시켜서 만들죠. Kimchi is made by fermenting seasoned cabbage and other vegetables.

4. 맛이 매우 좋고 건강에 아주 좋기 때문에 김치가 인기를 얻고 있어요. Because it has a very pleasing flavor and is quite healthy, Kimchi has been gaining popularity.

1. 저는 다이어트를 몇 차례 시도해 보았어요. 하지만 계속하지 못한 것 같아요. I've tried several diets but I can't seem to stick with them.

    * stick 막대기, 달라붙다, 계속하다

2. 2주 정도 지나면 늘 동기를 잃어버리죠. I always lose motivation after a couple of weeks.

3. 이 모든 군살을 결코 뺄 수 없을 것 같은 기분이 들기 시작하는 거예요. I begin to feel like I'll never lose all this extra weight.

4. 그 때문에 저는 우울해지지요. That causes me to become depressed.

2. 어떤 사람들은 식당에서 외식하는 것을 좋아해요. 반면, 또 다른 사람들은 집에서 요리하는 것을 좋아해요. 

Some people like eating out at restaurants. while others like cooking food at home. 

    * I think playing games is good while others think that playing games is waste of our time.

3. 흔히 그것(식습관)은 사람들의 생활방식에 달려 있어요. Often, it depends on people's lifestyle.

4. 하지만 저는 집에서 식사를 하고 싶어요. 왜냐하면 그게 더 위생적이고 싸기 때문이에요. But I'd rather eat at home because it's cleaner and cheaper.

    * I'd rather eat at home because it's more sanitary and more economical.

2. 아기 때부터 쭉 그랬어요. It has been like this ever since I was a baby.

3. 늘 같은 종류의 음식들만 먹으려고 하죠. I like to eat the same kinds of foods all the time.

4. 뭔가 맛이 조금만 다르면 먹으려고 들지 않아요. If something tastes a little bit different I won't eat it.

2. 시대를 초월해서 가장 좋아하는 책을 고르는 건 정말 어려운 일이에요. I find it really difficult to choose an all-time favorite book.

    * find 목적어 형용사 ~ 이 ~상태라고 생각한다.

    * I find her attractive.

    * I find it difficult to teach English in a interesting way. 재미있는 방법으로 영어를 가르치는 것은 어렵다고 느낀다.

3. "앵무새 죽이기"는 제가 여러 해 동안 몇 번이나 되풀이하여 읽은 책이에요. "To kill a Mockingbird" is a book (that) I've read many times over the years.

2. 하지만 늘 그런 것은 아니에요. However, that is not always the case.

3. 분명히 사람들이 일하도록 하는 다른 이유들이 있죠. Definitely, there are other reasons that motivate people to work.

1. 저는 해리 포터 책을 한 번도 읽은 적이 없어요. I'v never read a Harry Potter book.

2. 한 번 읽으려고 해봤죠 하지만 첫 장을 넘기지도 못했어요. I tried once but couldn't get past the first page.

    * I tried twice/three times/ten times..

3. 그건 제가 판타지를 좋아하지 않기 때문이 아니에요. It's not that I don't like fantasy.

4. 단지 제가 해리 포터에 전혀 흥미를 느끼지 못하기 때문이죠. It's just because Harry Potter does not interest me at all.

    * vivid : 생생한

2. 예를 들어 저는 기분이 좋을 때면 주로 밝은 색깔의 것을 입어요. For example, when I'm happy, I often wear something bright.

    * something special : 특별한 어떤 것

3. 하지만 기분이 약간 처져있을 때는 좀 짙은 색깔의 옷을 고르죠.  But when I'm feeling kind of gloomy, I'll choose clothes that are darker colors.

4. 가끔은 좀 더 쾌활해지고 싶어서 밝은 색깔의 옷을 입기도 하지만요. Sometimes I'll wear a bright color because I want to feel more cheerful.

    * cheer : 응원하다. cheerful : 쾌활한
