Lesson 036. MT(College Trips)

 

- Brainstorming

go on an MT / MTs,

- Key Pattern 1 : be short for

1. The DMZ is short for the demilitarized zone. DMZ는 비무장 지대의 줄임말이다.

2. The FTA is short for free trade agreement. FTA는 자유무역협정의 줄임말이다.

 

- Key Pattern 2 : overnight trip

1. We went on an overnight trip over the weekend.

   우리는 주말 동안에 짧은 여행[하룻밤 자는]을 다녀왔다.

2. I like to go on quick overnight trip. 나는 하룻밤 자고 오는 짧은 여행을 좋아합니다.

 

- Key Pattern 3 : nearby location

1. Let's just go to a nearby location. 그냥 근교로 놀러가자.

2. Are there any nearby location for camping? 근교에 캠핑 할만한 곳이 있니?

 

- Key Pattern 4 : get to know each other

1. I want to get to know each other better. 나는 다른 사람들과 더 잘 알고 싶다.

2. We got to know each other better. 우리는 서로 더 잘 알게 되었다.

 

- Free Speech

1. In college, we used to go on what's called MTs.

   MT is short for 'membership training'.

   대학교에는 MT라고 부르는 여행을 갔었다.

   MT는 membership training의 줄임말이다.

2. MTs are overnight trips students take to nearby locations.

   Members of a club also go on MTs.

   MT는 학생들이 근교로 짧은 여행을 가는 것이다.

   동아리 회원들 역시 MT를 간다.

3. The whole point of MTs is to get know each other better.

   Students cook, drink, eat, and play games together all night.

   MT의 제일 중요한 점은 서로 더욱 잘 알기를 위한 것이다.

   학생들은 요리하고 술마시고 먹고 밤새 같이 게임을 한다.

4. Some of the fondest memories of college life are from these trips.

   대학생활에서 가장 기억에 남는 것 중에 이 여행 중에 있다.
